Music History Museum

This museum exhibits different musical instruments and workshops for old instruments makers. The section devoted to Béla Bartók holds some original scores as well as the medals, statuettes, drawings, photos produced in homage to the great composer. In 1800, this fine Baroque hotel (Erdõdy palace) received Beethoven following the concert that he gave in the theatre in Buda Castle. At No. 9 next door, two plaques remind you that Kossuth Lajos and Mihály Táncsics were imprisoned here.
