Rumbach Synagogue

Interesting
Built between 1869 and 1872, this synagogue is one of the earliest works of Viennese architect Otto Wagner. The façade, with its multicoloured bricks and two towers resembling minarets (a feature mirrored in the Great Synagogue on Dohány Street) is Moorish in style, as is the richly decorated interior, built according to an octagonal plan but sadly now in very poor condition.
