Grindavik
The Essential
The only town on the southern coast of the Reykjanes Peninsula, Grindavík is one of the largest fishing ports in the country, situated close to the Blue Lagoon. Its traditions are preserved at the Saltfisksetur Íslands, a museum dedicated to salt cod, one of the country's main sources of wealth since the early 20C.
