St Stephen's Green
Formerly common land, closed off the first time in 1663, these 9ha-landscaped and beautifully tended gardens are one of the highlights of this urban district of Dublin. In fine weather, they are packed with local workers and students, who come here to picnic and listen to music during their lunch break. It is also a favourite haunt of families, groups of friends, lovers and solitary walkers.
