Photographs and manuscripts chart the life of the members of the Irish Volunteers (1913), Patrick and William Pearse. The two were executed in 1916 for having played a leading role in the Easter Rising. The museum is located in the house (1786) that they had acquired in 1910 for their boys' school. The syllabus reflected their desire to encourage the development of children without burdening them with the prospect of examinations, and to promote Irish culture.
