Glendalough

Highly recommended
The Glendalough monastic settlement encompassed churches, houses, workshops, a hospital and farm buildings. The most striking buildings include the 30m-tall round tower (10C), which had many functions over time, the cathedral, which had one of the largest naves in Ireland, and St Kevin's Church, also known as St Kevin's Kitchen on account of its pinnacle turret, reminiscent of a chimney.
