This museum comprises around fifteen different trulli houses, the oldest of which date from the 18C. Various ethnographical exhibits demonstrate everyday rural life for those who once lived in these trulli. An exhibition of photos illustrates the twinning of Alberobello with the historic region of Shirakawa-go, famous for its large thatched houses with double roofs, which are unique in Japan.
