Villa Cimbrone

Recommended
Built in the early 19C by Lord William Bechett in an eclectic style with references to the Villa Rufolo and the convent of St Francis, the Villa Cimbrone pays tribute to the history of Ravello and was a point of reference for the Bloomsbury Group for whom the extraordinary garden embodied the ideal aesthetic of clarity, order and harmony. A belvedere offers vertiginous views of the cultivated terraces on the surrounding hills, as well as of Maiori, Capo d'Orso and the Gulf of Salerno.
