Ravenna National Museum

The National museum, established in an old Benedictine monastery alongside the basilica of San Vitale, is the site of the precious reconstituted fresco from Santa Chiara Church by Pietro da Rimini (c. 1320). It is also home to objects from the late Roman and early Christian eras; ivories, icons (Cretan-Venetian school) and mosaics.
