This little seaside resort with multi-coloured façades was very much in fashion in the early 20C. The superb Promenade Anita Garibaldi starts at the little port and runs along the coast above the rocks. On the other side of the promenade are the parks belonging to three old villas that today house Nervi's museums: the Wolfsoniana, devoted to decorative arts and design (1880-1945); the Galleria d'Arte Moderna, home to the work of 19C and early 20C Italian artists; and the Raccolte Frugone, which features Italian artists from 1860-1930.
