Castello Sforzesco

Highly recommended
Forming a huge quadrilateral, this impressive castle was once home to the dukes of Milan (the Sforza) and now houses the municipal art collection, divided into various sections. The Museo Pietà Rondanini is completely dedicated to the last unfinished masterpiece by Michelangelo (1564) - not to be missed! The highlights of the Museo d'Arte Antica include the 14C funerary monument of Bernabò Visconti and the recumbent statue of Gaston de Foix by Bambaia. The art gallery and the museum of musical instruments are also worth a visit.
