Piazza dei Mercanti

Interesting
Piazza dei Mercanti is a quiet, picturesque square in the heart of medieval Milan. The Palazzo dei Giureconsulti (1564) is adorned with an unusual square tower and a statue of St Ambrose the Teacher. The Palazzo della Ragione (or Broletto Nuovo), built in the 13C and extended in the 18C, has an equestrian statue tucked away in a niche. It hosts photography exhibitions. The other palazzi on the square exude a sense of harmony, with their loggias and Gothic arcades.
