Pinacoteca Ambrosiana

Highly recommended
Built in 1609, the palace of Cardinal Federico Borromeo has one of the world's richest libraries, and an art gallery founded with the collections of the Cardinal: works by Bernardino Luini (Christ Child with a Lamb), Raphael (cartoon for School of Athens), Bramantino (Virgin and Child enthroned with Saints) and Leonardo da Vinci (Portrait of a Musician), plus a fascinating Basket of Fruit by Caravaggio and a selection of Flemish paintings.
