Church of Saint Dominic (San Domenico)

Interesting
The church of the Dominican monastery (13C) was endowed with its façade, which is so typical of the Piedmontese Gothic, in the 14C. The interior is just as spare, except for the altar and Baroque chapels that Victor Amadeus III of Savoy wanted to have added. The small Cappella delle Grazie is covered with frescoes produced in the 14C by an artist known as the Master of San Domenico. The church and monastery were the seat of the Turin Inquisition until its abolition in 1799.
