Galleria Civica di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (GAM)

Interesting
Dedicated to Italian art of the 19C and 20C, this large collection of paintings and sculpture focuses primarily on Piedmontese art, and in particular on Reggio-born painter Antonio Fontanesi (1818-1882), whose landscapes have a luminous solemnity, density and richness of colour. The museum, arranged over two floors, traces the evolution of Italian and European art up to the Arte Povera movement of the 1960s.
