Piazza Duomo (Place du Cathedral)

Piazza Duomo, a pretty little square which is almost completely enclosed, is dominated by the yellow-stone façade of the cathedral (n° 7), which was rebuilt after the earthquake of 1743. To the right of the cathedral, the 18C seminary is striking for its wrought-iron balcony; opposite, on the corner of Via Tarantino, Palazzo Balsamo (14C) boasts a fine stone balcony. In the square, the F. Ribezzo archaeological museum houses a beautiful collection of ancient vases.
