Santuario di S. Michele Arcangelo
Built in the Romanesque-Gothic transitional style, the church is flanked by an isolated octagonal bell tower. There is a long, covered staircase leading to a striking bronze door, which was cast in Constantinople in 1076. This leads to the nave with pointed vaulting which opens onto the cave where St Michael is said to have made his appearance. The marble statue of the saint is by Andrea Sansovino.
