Perched atop its harbour, this village of fishermen and winegrowers has preserved many traces of its multi-ethnic past, from its orthogonal layout reminiscent of Piedmontese town planning to gastronomy influenced by Liguria, Sicily and North Africa. After you've ambled through the little streets lined with pastel-coloured houses, go and see an exhibition in La Torre, visit the Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, and then try out one of the many beaches along the coastline.
