Museo della Cattedrale (Cathedral museum)

In addition to the Etruscan-Roman and early-Christian relics found under and around the cathedral, this museum is home to a fine collection of illuminated religious books from the 15C and 16C, which came from the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, as well as gold and silver ware, reliquaries, and religious ornaments. The tour of the Porsenna labyrinth, an ancient water system, starts in the museum and finishes in the Etrusco-Roman cistern (2C-1C BC), which was probably used as an emergency water supply in the event of fire.
