Brandenbourg Castle

Interesting
In the valley of the Blees, the ruins of Brandenbourg Castle stand atop a rocky promontory. Dating from the early 13C, the main building reopened to the public in 2013, once archaeological excavation had been completed and certain parts made safe. The tour, complete with explanatory signs, starts at the tunnel running between the main castle and the lower courtyard. It then moves on to the chapel of the original castle (9C), a few fine cellars and ends at the top of the keep, also part of the original structure.
