Elburg

Elburg
The Essential
This small town, once a busy port on the Zuiderzee (14C) which was part of the Hanseatic League, has preserved its medieval character. It is still enclosed by its quadrilateral walls (14C) and ringed by canals. Its streets, laid out in a grid system, are lined with attractive houses, in particular those fronting the narrow canal (De Beekstraat).
