Frans Halsmuseum

Highly recommended
Since 1913, the Frans Hals Museum has occupied a former almshouse. It owns 11 works by Frans Hals, including paintings of the civic guards and regents, giving visitors an idea of his evolution as a painter. Also on display are paintings by the Haarlem School (15C-17C). Finally, the museum also boasts a fine collection of decorative arts (notably furniture) and a replica 18C dolls house.
