Rotterdam Maritime Museum
This museum was created in 1874 thanks to Prince Hendrik, brother of William III, a naval officer and founded of the Royal Netherlands Yacht Club. The collections were moved in 1986 into the current building (by architect Wim Quist). They include a large number of models, notably of Holland America Line (HAL) ships, and the treasures of the Koninklijke Nedlloyd collection, plus an impressive model of Rotterdam's port.
