Mondriaanhuis

The restored and modernised house where Mondrian was born houses an exhibition which covers the main phases in the painter's development, from the period when his output was restricted to depicting nature to his neoplastic phase, in which colours and lines become a language in their own right. His pentagonal workshop in Paris (1921-1936; reconstruction) illustrates perfectly his preoccupation with space; the workshop is decorated with panels in primary colours.
