This modest mountain village is one of Norway's best-known, and rightly so: it is nestled in a region renowned for its landscapes, which are doubtless the loveliest and most breathtaking in the whole country. It has preserved its rustic atmosphere, thanks to a vigorous torrent with green waters, frozen high-altitude lakes and its small timber church with an octagonal floorplan. The surrounding area offers numerous hiking opportunities. A landscape as superb as it is varied.
