Coastal Highway Fv. 17
This itinerary, where nature reigns supreme, skirts the Hegeland coast by land and sea, connecting Steinkjer in the south to Bodø in the north. The winding 650km route is divided into sections connected by six ferries and numerous boldly designed bridges, and hugs the contours of the land. The eye lingers over vast spaces, where you might catch sight of an elk, an eider or puffins. You also pass the polar circle, that imaginary yet mythical line, without even really realising it.
