Lillehammer Museum of Fine Arts
The Museum of Fine Arts, inaugurated to coincide with the 1994 Olympics, presents a remarkable overview of Norwegian painting, from Romanticism up to works from the early 20C: Johan Christian Dahl, Hans Frederik Gude, Frits Thaulow and Christian Krohg. Two excellent pieces (Composition and Still Life) by Jacob Weidemann herald the contemporary art section, presented on the ground floor: note the painters Reidun Tordhol, Hilde Vemren and Odd Nestrum.
