Fram Museum

Recommended
This fascinating museum tells the story of polar conquest through the Fram ship which was specially built for the explorer, Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930). The exhibition features displays on expeditions and the daily lives of their teams. Younger visitors will be able to track down reindeer, ride a sleigh, and discover the Gjøa, a herring fishing boat that enabled Roald Amundsen to sail through the Northwest Passage (1903 and 1906). The most scenic attraction is the Northern Lights show, which takes place every 20 minutes.
