Telemark Museum

Interesting
The museum is set in a park, Brekkeparken. The main building is an old manor house dating from the early 19C; it contains major collections relating to Telemark's folk history, including a splendid interior decorated using the rosemaling technique - a speciality in the region. The museum also has a reconstruction of Henrik Ibsen's home. The open-air museum includes buildings representing the architectural styles of different regions.
