Cracow, the real capital of Poland
There’s no escaping the clichés, Cracow is a pure gem, a little Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque jewel. Poland’s former capital city is, beyond question, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978, it is readily compared with Prague, but is a little less touristy.

The Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews was inaugurated on October 28, 2014. The museum recounts 1,000 years of Jewish presence in this part of Europe. Both its scope and ambition make it comparable with the Yad Vashem Memorial in Jerusalem.
