This granite fortress-church was built in the 15C-16C by architects from Galicia and Biscay. Apart from a few Gothic features (pinnacles), the style is predominantly Renaissance, in particular, the portals and façades. The southern lateral portal is framed with sculpted pilasters supporting a gallery. The pediment depicts a Virgin Mary accompanied by two angels. The interior has a magnificent Mudéjar maple wood ceiling.
