Bradet Wood Church

The Crâiasa Valley is the ideal destination for those wishing to discover Romania's remarkable wood churches, the work of usually unknown craftsmen using the same techniques employed in domestic architecture. They were decorated with icons and wall paintings, notably by David Zugravul, a travelling artist originally from Curtea de Arges. Don't miss the village of Bradet, where against a backdrop of fir trees stands the most striking of these churches.
