At the foot of the Peñón Grande in Andalusia, the village of Grazalema is, surprisingly, the rainiest village in Spain. The street layout and the bell tower of the Iglesia de San Juan from the Moorish era have survived; the tower of the Iglesia de la Encarnación (16C) is of Mudejar origin. On the fine Plaza de España, the Iglesia de la Aurora (18C) is the emblem of the village's heyday. Finally, the weaving workshops are a reminder that weaving reached its peak here in the 18C.
