Caminito del Rey

Highly recommended
After being closed for 15 years due to the site's hazardousness and major restoration work, the famous Caminito del Rey - named after King Alphonse XIII, who inaugurated it in 1921 - was reopened to the public in 2015. A sort of via ferrata covering 3km of an 8km itinerary, it goes through some of the region's loveliest countryside. Fair warning to any who are scared of heights: in some places the footbridge spans a 100m drop... and is only 1m wide!
