Alcalá de Guadaíra

Alcalá de Guadaíra
The Essential
Alcalá de Guadaíra, 20km southeast of Seville, has a 15C-16C church that is of interest on account of the bell tower's ceramic decor and the curious niched vault of the sanctuary. At the top of the village are the remains of an Almohad castle (the Berber dynasty that reigned over Muslim Andalusia until the 13C), with a hermitage at its centre.
