Archaeological Museum, Seville

Interesting
Housed in the former Fine Arts Pavilion from the 1929 Exposition, this Archaeological Museum has some magnificent pieces. These include the El Carambolo treasure, a remarkable example of the level achieved by the gold and metal workers of the Tartessos culture. On the upper floor, which is mainly devoted to Roman civilisation in Andalucía, the bulk of the collections comes from Italica, a town close to Seville.
