Hospital de los Venerables - Centro Velázquez

Interesting
Founded in 1675, this hospice was intended for old (and therefore venerable) priests. Today, it is home to the Velázquez Centre. In the church you will see frescoes by Valdés Leal and his son Lucas Valdés, and fine sculptures by Pedro Roldán. In the sacristy, the last work by the elder Leal gives rise to a surprising effect of perspective.
