Parc de María Luisa

Interesting
This park, which is popular with the locals, was a gift from the Infanta María Luisa to the city. Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier modified it for the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition, giving it its current appearance: over 400 000m2 of magnificent gardens with lanes and paths, planted with giant ficus, palm trees, magnolias, orange trees and dozens of exotic species of trees, dotted with lakes, fountains and pools, as well as fine buildings celebrating Spanish-American culture.
