Massive ramparts dominate Ibiza Town, Ibiza's capital, and its port, which are particularly spectacular when admired from the sea. They are the last guise of the fortifications that have crowned the hill since Phoenician times. Get your teeth into Ibiza Town's heritage at Dalt Vila, the historic town, with its cathedral, museums and narrow streets lined with ancient palaces. Crowded around the foot of the walls, the Sa Penya and Sa Marina areas tell a more modest story: that of the fishermen and craftsmen.
