Bilbao Fine Arts Museum
The two buildings that make up the Museo de Bellas Artes (Bilbao Fine Arts Museum), one built in 1945, the other in the 1960s, house Spain's second largest collection after the Prado in Madrid. The rooms, divided over two floors, display art from the 13C to the present day, in chronological order. Numerous Spanish artists are obviously represented, along with Basque and foreign artists, such as Gauguin, Delaunay, Léger, Bacon, Hockney, Alechinsky and Kapoor.
