La Palma

La Palma is also dubbed "Beautiful Island" or "Green Island" on account of its lush woodland comprising wild laurel, pines and banana trees. Its tallest peak reaches 2 426m, making it the highest island in the world relative to its surface area. The natural beauty of the island is most in evidence at the Caldera de Taburiente. Belvederes affording staggering views, beautifully preserved beaches and a charming capital city make La Palma one of the archipelago's choice destinations.
