In a winegrowing region, the town of Icod, which goes back to the start of the Conquista, boasts the most impressive and oldest dragon tree (between 800 and 1 000 years old) in the Canaries. It's worth seeing the Church of San Marcos and its Museum of Sacred Art, which has in its collection a filigree silver cross made in Cuba in the 17C. Following Calle San Francisco, you will see another dragon tree (at no 15) that is just as majestic and thought to be 500 years old.
