Zamora is Roman, thanks to its stronghold, protected by a massive wall, Romanesque, by virtue of its belfries flanked by huge buttresses and Quixotic, as it was the scene of the romance between the Cid and Doña Urraca. Today the town sports the distinctive soft curves of famous 20C sculptor Baltasar Lobo. A fascinating stroll from Santa Clara street to the cathedral square will reveal these treasures. A city whose unique charm is multi-facetted.
