Pamplona is the main town in the Spanish Pyrenees region. The former capital of the Kingdom of Navarre, it has retained the look of an old fortified town with its narrow streets, and has numerous parks and gardens. Pamplona is also a festive city, renowned for its bull runs and corridas around San Fermín. In the evening, do the rounds of Calle Estafeta, Calle San Nicolás or Calle Navarrería, and sample a few pintxos in the lively bars.
