Lugo Town Museum

The Provincial Museum is housed in the former San Francisco Monastery. Of the original building, the museum still has its kitchen, refectory (18C) and cloisters (15C). It is dedicated to the various aspects of regional art and mainly focused on archaeology and painting. Note the sundials, the Sargadelos ceramics and gold torques (Celtic neck rings). The last rooms are given over to Spanish painting of the 19C and 20C, from the Nelson Zúmel collection.
