ARQUA - Museo Nacional de Arqueología Subacuática
The National Museum of Underwater Archaeology is housed in a bold, half-buried glass and metal building. Fun, educational and interactive, it sets out the principles, problems and tools of underwater archaeology and presents objects excavated in the region, including a collection of impressive amphora. A section entitled "Sailing the Ocean" is to a large extent dedicated to the frigate Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes and its terrible fate. Fascinating!
