Valencia Botanical Garden

Valencia was one of the first cities in Spain to follow the fashion for educational gardens, which began in Italy in the 16C. The site of the present botanical garden dates from 1802. Despite a chequered history, it is now a research centre and provides a splendid setting for a walk.
