In 1995, an ecopark was created in the middle of the city to protect its flora and fauna from urban pollution. The royal parks of Djurgården, Ulriksdal and Haga are all part of this nature area. Today, the Haga Park is home to the manor occupied by Sweden's Crown Princess, the heir apparent to the throne. Local families, in particular, enjoy the rustic atmosphere and English charm of the park. Younger visitors will be captivated by the bird and butterfly pavilion, while older visitors will be intrigued by the copper tents, dating from 1787.
