To reach the rocky summit of the Rothorn, take a funicular that leads first to Sunnega (alt. 2,288m), alongside mountain pastures, then to Blauherd (2,571m) from where a cable car ferries you up to the summit. From there, you can enjoy a fine view east over the Ober Rothorn as far as the Cervin that can be seen to the southwest, the Findel glacier to the south, Zermatt to the west and the Nikolaital Valley to the North.
