Standing in the middle of the Isle of Purbeck (actually a peninsula), Corfe Castle has dominated the local landscape since the 11C. The village, with its harmonious houses with their Purbeck stone roofs, proudly boasts that it has the smallest town hall in England. Not far away is the Blue Pool, a blue-green lake fringed by lush vegetation (silver birch, pines, gorse) and Lulworth Cove, a circular creek enclosed by magnificent cliffs.
